Not being of computer background, there are lots of things I dont know. I was told by engineres at Alcoa that the Linux operating system was a very rock solid operating system. It is what they use to operate the smelting lines and maintain very accurate voltage to the anodes. Is is possible to run Cam Soft on the linux system or is it to far away from Windows that it would have to be totaly re written? I have a gantry oxy fuel/ plasma cutter with master and slave on X and single on Y . the other day I was burning out a 16 foot circle and for no reason it stoped going in a circle and took off toward the center. Had to E stop it and start over. it cut 3 good ones before this one then 5 good ones before doing it again. then is has not goofed up in 3 weeks.
