Hi all, I'm not sure if this is a problem with my lathe or if its a problem with my technique.
I've been using my 7x12 mini lathe (3 jaw, 3" chuck) to cut wheel spacers for my bike. I can get pretty close to the dimensions that I my designs call for but more often than not, my initial designs and measurements are a couple mms out. What I need to do is put my finished spacer back in the lathe to modify it's dimensions but I find that I can never get the work lined perfectly along the same axis as the first time the piece was cut!
Here's a picture of the piece I'm trying to put back in the lathe. It's 33mm in diameter and 29mm in length. The flange is 40mm.
