How to produce the highly difficult Special-Shape Precision Parts?
The company name of Kanou has the same pronunciation with “??” in Japanse, It means “Can & Possible”, Kanou company was founded by solving problems for Japanese customers in China who thought they could not buy high-precision machined parts in China. Because of this background, our technical team is not afraid of complex and difficult CNC Machined Parts.

Recently, We produced a Precision Components as the drawing below, The customer already found several suppliers to make the sample before contacting us, But all the sample from other suppliers can’t meet the requirements, so customer asks us to try to machining it.

Our Oversea sales’ first reaction is this precision machined parts is too difficult when received the customer’s inquiry drawing (Our sales is a woman, but she also has rich experience and has the strong professional judgment ability), Then we organized technical department to have the meeting to discuss if it can be finished. The difficult to produce this precision part as below:

1, The material is SUS304, it was the material that hard to machining;

2, The structural support of the machined parts is not enough, so it is easy to deform.

3, The Precision for this machining part is very high, Even the shape tolerance also request in 0.01mm,

4, The geometric tolerance requirements of CNC parts are very high, the concentricity tolerance is within 0.01mm without external force, the perpendicularity tolerance is within 0.01mm, and the planarity of the mounting surface is within 0.005mm,

5, The Precision Machined Part do now allow deformation,

6, The Important surface finish of the CNC Precision Part is Ra0.08.

In the face of difficulties, Our Technical team fully analysis every detail, We thought all possible problem and also considered the corresponding solution, and put the machining details to each processing step that need what equipment; Fixture, cutting parameters, cooling parameters, and every precision grade all write in details that used for guiding processing. Finally, We finished this complex machined part, The customer was very satisfied with it, the cost for these CNC components is also down much than before.

Finished Precision Machining Parts Image as below:

We make below strategy to machining this precision part:

1, We choose the best material imported from Japan,

2, The material be processed by solid solution treatment before use, so it will be more stable and can improve the processing performance.

3, In terms of processing technology, we arrange the following steps: rough machining, semi-finishing, and precision finishing.

4, We added Aging process after rough machining, and Optimize the stability of the material again,

5, We designed the tooling to ensure the minimum deformation in semi-finishing,

6, We designed the fixture in precision machining to ensure the force distribution of the CNC machined parts are uniform and minimize the deformation for the machined parts.

After a series of analysis and continuous improvement in processing technology, Finally, we finished the precision parts successfully. Kanou Precision always do the complex machined parts that others can’t do, so we already accumulate rich experience in producing difficult and complex CNC machined part. If you have anything that needs our help, please don’t hesitate to contact us. Kanou Precision will give you the best solution and the best precision parts.

Need Help! Need help reflashing an old Fanuc 10T PMC cassette A02B-0076-001 cassette A

I have an old Victor TNS-2 lathe(1986) and the fanuc A02B-0076-001 cassette has failed.. I am thinking that the EPROMs have probably lost some of the data as I get a PS550 watchdog error. I can put in another cassette from a different machine (unfortunately not the same victor lathe or model) and the machine boots up fine but the ladder logic is from a different machine so it will not operate. However, this is telling me that it is the cassette that is bad and not the machine or motherboard.

So I do not know what to do here. The machine manufacturer cannot find a copy of the original data as it is 30+ year old. However, I do have the original ladder logic hard copy diagram (about 70 pages of ladder) so I need to somehow reprogram the cassette. I have a few old same model A02B-0076-001 cassettes I picked up on ebay and I have a dozen or so of the exact blank eprom chips that go on the card as well as an eprom reader/writer and UV system. The cassette has 4 eprom chips on it. I can read the data from these chips with an eprom reader, but I do not know what values are good or bad as all I see are lots of 2 digit HEX numbers and I do not know what values they should be.

1) Is there any way to convert these HEX numbers back into the fanuc ladder logic diagram so I can compare what may be corrupt?
2) If not, is there any way to rewrite this hard copy of the ladder and translate it back into the 2 digit HEX format and then reflash the eproms (one at a time)?
Seems like the original fanuc cassette reader/writer made by GE was discontinued years ago so I will have to write the code back on the chips one at a time. Not sure how this data would even overlap on each chip as there are 4 chips each 128K .

Seems impossible but I am pretty stubborn. I am a good learner and pretty skilled with programming and electronics. There must be a way to get this working. It has worked great for years and years and the iron is in excellent shape. It just failed a few weeks ago with no warning.

Any help or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Switch from g-code system B to g-code system A?

I assumed my 0T-A being so old was using g-code system A, but I've had to swap around some stuff like G50 for G92 and G32 for G33. Clearly this is a system B machine. Can this be switched to system A using a parameter? I've looked through the parameters but I didn't find anything obvious. Or is it burned into the eprom?

Of course I can live with it, it just makes looking stuff up in my manual a real pain. I spent the better part of the day trying to get a G32 tapping routine to work only to finally swap for G33 and I was tapping.

CNC machines from plywood

Recently, on the forums and YouTube, I started to get materials on the construction of CNC machines from plywood. The topic intrigued me. The fact is that such a machine can be assembled by virtually anyone, if there is a project and the possibility of cutting plywood on a large CNC machine. The assembly does not require the help of expensive specialists - a lathe, a welder, a milling cutter. You don't need to have any special tools. Pretty much the minimum that is available to every master.
And since I have access to a large, good CNC machine, I decided to try to implement such a project.
First, I project a stand in SolidWorks.
The machine has not yet fully finished. A little later, I will show the continuation of the series ...

BobCad Corp. are Thieves!!!!!

I bought and paid for the CAM Lathe Software $400 from BobCad. Could not load it on my computer as my internet was to slow. So I decided to back out of the software. They first said they were only going to return $320 of the 400. (Restocking Fee for the software I did not get). I said I was going to tell everybody about this story. They then said they would return the full $400. I have not seen a dime. 3 weeks now.
I did not get the software and I am out $400. What is a retired home owner to do. I don’t have the money to “Sue” them, and they know it.
The world needs to know about “Those No Good Turd’s”.

2010 Ez router Scorpion in great running condition. 5x10 cutting ability and an ATC tool changing spindle. The spindle is set up as semi-automatic tool changing. New Centroid Acorn controller running on Windows 10 and Vectric Aspire for design and toolpathing. Currently hooked up and running. Can demo and or train you on the machine. Very heavy duty frame and no issues at all with it. Vac hold down system included. I asked Ez-router what a new one cost for an idea of value and they said 39-41 thousand for a 4x8 with a basic manual tool change spindle. Here is a short video of it running. Asking $18.500 for the machine and vac hold down.

Need Help! X Axis First Negative Software Limit Reached - Syntec 6MA

$

Hi guys, I'm new to all of this so I'd first like to thank you for any help you may be able to provide.

My company makes office furniture and after our former CNC operator up and left i was tasked with trying to figure out how to write programs and operate the CNC. Everything i know, which is very very little, is all self taught from trying to read forums and online.

I'm stuck right now with my CNC. I use a Syntec 6MA controller and I'm unsure what brand machine we use. However, it does have 3 heads. They're positioned as follows T2, T1, T3

Tool 2 and 3 can move up and down from air pressure and tool 1 i stationary so it only moves up and down on the z axis. I primarily use tool to do all of my cutting, however, I've learned how to use all 3 tools so I've been doing that lately. I was cutting a table using tool 2 yesterday and after it cut the table I got a hardware limit error. I reset the controller and reran the program and my x axis had changed. I'm unsure why but the program started about 7 inches left from where it should have. So i reset my G54 X and Y offset and finished what i was doing.

Today I'm trying to use a program that utilizes both tools 2 and tools 3. However, when tool 3 tries to cut I get the error X Axis First Negative Software Limit Reached. I understand why I'm getting the error, there's obviously a setting somewhere telling the machine not to go past -1 on my x axis. I'm sure if i knew where to adjust that setting i could change it and continue on with my work. If anyone can tell me where to change this, that would be helpful.

My bigger question is why did this happen. It's almost like the machines coordinates changed. My absolute zero should align with tool 3 since it's the furthest tool to the right but it seems to align with tool 2, the tool on the left. I should be able to move tool 3 into the zero position but it stops when tool one gets to the zero position. By the way, my zero, zero is the bottom left corner of my table just so you have an understanding of how my machine travels.

I hope i was able to explain my problem properly. I'm unsure of correct terminology for a lot of this stuff so I tried to explain the best i know how.

EMI filter for 240v single phase?

$

I have a potential noob question about EMI filters. I'm about to add a spindle to my CNC Router (currently using an actual 120v router), which will require installation of a VFD. Because of all the EMI issues I've read about in other threads, I'm trying to make sure I ground properly, etc, but I'm running into issues on an EMI filter for the incoming 240v mains. I've looked at most of the EMI filters I see commonly discussed in the threads (e.g. Schaffner FN2060-20-06), as well as those I find when I search for 240v single phase EMI filter, and their wiring diagrams have lugs for L and N on the line side. That would seem suitable for countries where mains are 240v line with a separate neutral, but in the US, 240v circuits are split phase, with L1 and L2 - each with 120v, 180 degrees out of phase between them - and without a neutral line, so I'm not sure if those would work. What EMI filters are others using for 240v setups in North America? FWIW, I'm hooking up a HY04D023B VFD driving a 3.2kw water cooled Chinese spindle.

Thanks,
Greg

CNC 3018 draws too much power with ER11A bit holder

I bought a CN3018 and it works fine, however I then fitted the ER11A holder and the motor pulses i.e. it starts to spins then stops, then starts again, stops etc.

If I unscrew the bottom of the ER11A then the motor spins fine, so I assume the extra weight of the ER11A is just slightly too much for the supply. The kit came with a 24V 4A supply, I had a 24V 5A which I've tried but it doesn't work either.

Any suggestions on a supply to get?
Thanks.

Mastercam setup sheet

I am new to mastercam, and I am trying to alter the default setup sheet so it auto generates an image of the CAD model, in addition to the toolpath that appears by default. Is there any easy way to do this? The goal is to have a printed copy at the machine, so the machinists are able to instantly determine what tools are causing the issue when they find a part with a discrepant feature.

sorry for posting here, and sorry for admins, i apologize, but i need some help, i have at work, this machine, CN625, and my colleague, and he wants to fold the bed or table, on the machine, but this eror keep show up, he wants to rise the spindle so that he can fold the table to put new material to cut, but like i said this error keeps pop up if he is trying to raise the spindle and cannot fold the table, or tipp( sorry for my english) waiting for someone to respond!67636734_370447626972604_6798302513620582400_n.jpg67372891_2298483677068945_4228077037245431808_n.jpg

engraving very thin wood

I have a K40 and I make and sell boxes and other items for events, businesses, individuals, you name it. I would like to make wooden stickers with adhesive backed veneer, I've run into some problems. Even on the lowest power setting of 8% I'm burning through in places. My machine wont burn on anything lower that 8%, I guess it's not enough to activate the laser tube. Even the places that don't burn through burn so clean that it's hard to see the design. So any advise?

Need Help! wiring question

I currently use a proma myplasma for my cnc plasma table. In the process of making mounts and adapters to add a router.

If I wire the router to a separate breakout board and wire everything normal to the drivers for the router(since the myplasma is a stand alone unit and uses it's own program, and the router will use mach3).. when I use 1 or the other is it going to damage the other unit since they will be tied into the same driver?
