Delta NC300 contoller setup master slave

Hello

tried to search for some threads on Delta CNC solutions: Delta NC300 controller with ASD-A2 drives and motors (750W) but in vain.
We tried to setup the 4 axis, drives and motor work, but as the Delta manuals (for controller and drives) are so thin, could not find a way to set the master/slave parameters and make it work.
Not sure if anyone familiar with the controller, but worth trying to see if anyone has an idea on how it works.
So in the NC the axes are defined, and parameters for the A axis slave to Y axis is set. Still, the when moving Y, A motor does not move. When tryi ng to move A, it works.
No error is popping up.

I tried to contact Delta customer service but in vain.

I assume the controller adopts standard setup. So suggestions on how other c0ntrollers are set might work.

here the link to NC300 controller manual.

Any input appreciated.

Need Help! changing Huanyang HY to GT series VFD

$

i have a DIY CNC that i built about a year ago and it was working fine until it wasn't, the Inverter stopped working. i ordered a new one from Amazon and received an email from Huanyang asking if i would like to have this upgraded model in exchange for the Hy series and i said yes, after asking if i could use RS485 to control the spindle and I was told it was all the same it just had a better VF control and many other upgrades that i had no idea about. anyway it has been 3 weeks now and i still cant get it working with RS485. It was suggested that I could use a speed control board and so i got one and still not working but ...

It seems that I have mach3 talking to speed control (C41s) board and that is talking to Inverter (DRO showing up/down frequency change) but no voltage coming out of the C41 board to increase/decrease speed/frequency? The doc's that came with C41 is poor at best and the diagram is of an older board and all the inputs/outputs are in other places and not marked well so it is not easy for me to understand the jumpers because they are also not marked well, so that is the problem,

there is voltage going to inverter from the 0-10V analog output on C41. but I can't get voltage out from C41 to inverter to turn on spindle. there is only one analog
0-10V terminal output and it looks like maybe the other outputs are RJ45 connections. there are 2 other analog outputs for switching for/rev and other operations but not for run/stop?

If anyone has any idea how i can get my spindle working it would be great!

thanks
pat

G Code of enormous radius convert to lines

Today, a customer reported a issue of router machining, some contoues are not machined but the NC code simulation is good.

Here is the pict that some part are not machined well.
11.png

This is the code simulation
12.png

comparing the G code, we could see that the radius is in enormous value.

N2775 G01 X37.1072 Y2185.329 Z5.0
N2776 G01 X37.1072 Y2185.329 Z0.5 F500
N2777 G03 X36.9888 Y2162.2353 I12444.4511 J-75.3337 Z-40.0 F500
N2778 G03 X37.0875 Y2037.9863 I12444.5695 J-52.24 Z-40.0 F500
N2779 G03 X38.3082 Y1884.1658 I35487.3825 J204.7196 Z-40.0
N2780 G03 X128.7576 Y1884.814 I26.1556 J2661.2646 Z-40.0
N2781 G01 X128.7576 Y2291.5976 Z-40.0
N2782 G01 X116.6346 Y2291.313 Z-40.0

It's normal that some control couldn't support the big radius arc code. We could correct the part drawing to avoid this issue, but it's not convenient for programer to check the arc radius each time, so the best solution is to do something in postprocessor.

We modified the postprocessor, checing the arc redius when generating nc file. The arc would be converted to line segments if the radius exceeds the Max limitation. Tolerance would be controled also when the arc is convered to lines.

AXYZ 4009 Retrofitting

Hello,

I just inherited an AXYZ 4009 router that was made in the mid 90's with an old AMC controller. I am trying to retrofit the router since the frame is a good solid structure. Looking in the cabinet and motors, I was hoping to re-use the Reliance Electric servo motors but I cant find any information on them. I wanted to know if anyone has been able to get the motors running using any updated drivers that are compatible? I am attaching a picture of the motor and sticker plate. The challenge is that the motors have a body length of about 100mm, and I cant find anything in that size that will handle about 600w of power, and I am not sure anything smaller will have enough to drive the heavy gantry?

Early 80's LB15 X axis thrust bearing access/replacement

$

I have an early 80's (~83-84) LB15 w/ dovetail ways on the X axis. I have had backlash for quite a while and dialed it out as best as possible w/ backlash comp in the control. I did that a couple years ago but it's been slowly getting worse.

I would like to gain access to the thrust bearings and ball screw to inspect them both (and most likely replace at least the thrust bearing while I'm there).

The thing is, I'm not sure how to get to them.

Looking at my parts break down, there is a small metal plate that covers the lower bearing block where the thrust bearings are housed (only show's thrust bearings on lower end of the screw, w/ a 6205 ball bearing to support the servo end). Looking the machine over, this cover is pretty much completely covered by the turret. The turret is at it's upper limit and won't go up any higher, at least while under servo power. Is it possible to move the ball screw by hand and bring the turret high enough to take off the cover?

Really haven't dug into it too much at this point before I got more information. Was hoping someone on here might have firsthand experience with the same machine/repair that they could share.

Thanks

Problem ENGRAVING

I created single line text, for the inside of a cavity for a mold.
works as expected.
I created another mold with a different style but the text is the same, so I copied the text from the original file and pasted into the new file. did everything the same and it dosen't print all of the lines in the text
I have attached screen shots
one shows the Feature window showing the text that is selected, another pic shows the text that is selected and the other shows the tool path
you will see in the pic that the "R" and the "P" are not cutting properly.
any ideas??

Technifor TD410 interface protocol

$

I have a Technifor TD410 controller with a Lasertop engraving machine; the system came without any software and Technifor wants ~£1000 for the software and dongle (why does software that works only with their hardware need a dongle?). I would like to use an alternative lower cost software package but Technifor are not at all forthcoming in the details of the interface protocol. All I know is it connects via RS232 and the manual indicates it uses 19200 Baud.
Does anyone know what protocols it uses?

I have a friend who has a Bridgeport Milling Machine that is equiped with an EZ Vision CNC Controller.
The controller is having issues.
The Servo's and power supply are working and strong.
What would everyone recommend to use to convert this machine?

I have previously upgraded a SuperMax YCM-30 milling machine with a 1985 Anilam controller to Larken Viper drives, slaved it to a PC and run Mach 3.. but not sure that is the best way to go for my friend.
What does everyone recommend?

Stiffening 50x100 extrusions

$

I'm still designing my fixed gantry build using Misumi's 50x100 High Rigidity extrusions. I was wondering if it would be a good idea to fill the interiors of the extrusions with some dense substance to give it more heft. At first I thought about using Concrete but after reading a few more threads here, I realised that the shrinkage coefficient of concrete and Aluminium is incompatible and might cause the extrusion to crack or warp. Many recommend granite epoxy but finding granite particles is kinda difficult in my part of the world not to mention expensive. I was wondering if filling the extrusions with epoxy and hardener combination is a valid idea? Would that give it the additional heft I'm looking for?

Motors not jogging

$

I am using TB6600 motor drivers and Mk4 Controller.
When wired up the motors lock as expected.
The TNG software is all working and green light in right hand corner with no cross.
When I try to jog nothing happens.
I have tried wiring the drivers both ways Anode and Cathode, no difference either way
I did notice the 5V is only 4.2v when using the Anode.
I have gone through settings toggling enable, invert etc.
I have no limits selected etc.
I do not believe the motor drivers are faulty as that would mean I have 3 faulty units.

Not sure if the board needs the 24V wired in as it powers up with USB. I tried disconnecting the 24V and it made no difference.
Please help, have I got a faulty controller card?
