Need Help! how to talk to m700 with PC by Ethernet?

we just purchased a new Cincom Citizen L32 with Mitsubishi controls from a dealer who is un-knowledgeable about setting up FTP on it. We want to use Ethernet instead of RS-232. Does anyone know the step by step procedure to get an Mitsubishi m700 to send information back and forth to a PC via Ethernet cable?

i tried using the other post on here but it did not have the same controls.
i tried going through parameter settings by pressing
-MAINTE twice
then
-param
then there wasn't any way to find an "Ethrnet param soft key"

please help!

I live in Arkansas & internet access is a premium around here. My options outside the city are two way satellite or cellular. Both present problems since most windows services & just about every application pointlessly checks in with home servers constantly in order to receive updates or preserving their own interest. This would be fine however I'm on a metered line & get a little upset when I'm paying $100/mos. for all the software I use to check & make sure I'm not stealing software or my subscription is current, and then downloading a 500meg update to the spanish language faqs and user interface. something I'll never use...

Is there a solution that doesn't require a constant connection to the internet? I'm not concerned to much about price but I'd consider $10,000 to be a little absurd, however $2,000 would great to start with. It would come down to features, options, & how badly their copy protection interferes with my work.

I have a 3x4' homemade CNC, using two ball screws on the Y axis, acme threaded X and Z axis, and linear rails and trucks on all axis.
Using Gecko 251X drivers, Mach3 and Vectric VcarvePro 8.5.

Has anyone used the below Controller cards sold by L-STAR MOTOR from Amazon. I'm considering clanging my Controller boards to a more modern board at an attrive price.

It is a 5 Axix Mach3 Stepper motor comtroller board, breakout board interface fot CNC
Router, engraving, milling machine.

Somebody using soluble oil for mist cooling machining - no rust ? Mixture?

Hi, for example I got StaLube soluble oil . It is advertised as "no rust" . I've seen few videos of mist cooling systems successfully using it and I wanted something "oily" as close as possible to the WD-40 which I've used mostly for manual cutting, but preferred cheaper solutions, so I ordered it.
Is somebody here who use soluble oil? What do you say about rusting? How much water do you mix in for mild steel, aluminum?

Aspire VS Mach 4 for a Accu-Cut CNC router table

We have purchased a older Accu-Cut CNC Router table (11’x6’) My Dad is an old Machinist and says G-Code is G-Code, I am a hobbyist and learning. I have MasterCam and AutoCad and know this would be difficult for me to do artsy designs and lettering thru those programs. Which of these two programs between Aspire and Mach 4 are the easiest and most reliable to use? I guess i need some pros and cons of the two, I like the way Aspire looks initaly and need arguing points for this hard sell. I do not want to invest in a program and not function properly. Thanks for the help.

Need Help! fadal will not power up

I had this problem when I first received it and replaced the power supply with a new one, and never had any major problems, maybe once in a while it would give me trouble, not not often.....until today. I go to power up the machine and all is good, go to cold start the machine and it said clear the e-stop (low on lube) then powered it down since it would not clear the e-stop. Go to restart and it does the weak sound where there is power in the back cabinet but does not power up like it should. I can hear ticking, open up the cabinet and the glentek p/n 4558-303 model ga380-2050 has a green light, BUT the red light keeps doing a faint red flash, and that is where the ticking is coming from. When I push the green button I get a relay that makes a real buzzing sound from below the transformer, and has a red light and the machine will not power up. I have attached the picture of the 4558-303 component and the relay in question. I would love if someone can get me going again :)
edit: when it does this the work light comes on, but dim, like it is not getting full voltage.

Need Help! Questioning Benefit of PID feedback Control of Router

I just ordered a Super-PID feedback control unit for my router. For those who have this on their router, Do you see a difference in smoothness of cut? I am installing it first on a router table and a Woodrat. Then on a CNC unit that I will build. The theory is that since the bit speed will remain nearly constant, the cut will be smoother regardless of the density changes in the wood. Of course, the feed rate into the bit will have to be nearly constant as well. They have not yet acknowledged my order, and I'm wondering if I jumped the gun on this purchase.

It is difficult locating experienced PowerMill Programmers when my CNC business needs to expand to meet project needs.

A couple years ago I stumbled onto, google search, a website / service that I could post programming jobs and get freelance applicants to bid on the programming. There were lots of qualified overseas candidates in Eastern Europe (Ukraine) that had PowerMill programming experience and software. I got a few jobs done and I was very happy with how it worked, but I have since lost the link to this service and I can't find it!

Please help I have a lot of PowerMill CAM programming jobs on the horizon that can easily be outsourced overseas and I don't remember the site! (didn't bookmark it!) Recent Google and old emails searches turned up nothing,

Does anyone know of or use this type of service?

I got a few jobs done and I was very happy with how well it worked, but I have since lost the link to this service and I can't find it!

Fanic O-T retrofit ease

I've kicked around the idea of getting a flatbed cnc lathe for a while. I found an ad for one that looks decent but has a Fanuc controller on it.
I know almost nothing when it comes to fanucs.
I guess age would be early to possibly mid 90's. Simple 2 axis. No turret. Not under power which in itself is scary.

If the battery is pooched how much of a battle is it to restore parameters?
Does this particular age/model of fanuc lend itself to be retro'd easily using existing drives and motors assuming they're good? I honestly have no idea of it has black/red or yellow axis motors on it.
Any insight is appreciated.
