So I have been told that the DC motor brushes on my Fadal (they are Reliance and not Glentek) are non-serviceable and I should just run until they smoke and replace with Glentek.
This of course makes me nervous as I feel like I'm going off the deep end in repair costs someday soon at any time. VMC-15 mid 95 model year. All is running well as far as I can tell but being a maintenance person I like to plan ahead if I can.
Just wanted to see what other experiences and info is out there and is the Glentek swap as easy as buying the motors or all new driver cards also required... seems like someone would have figured out how to change the brushes on a Reliance motor ??
