I'm working with my machinist who has asked if I can figure out how to set his MasterCam (X5 on a Windows 7 machine) so that when he goes to open a file, the "Explorer" view (like Windows Explorer in Windows) will show him the "List" view instead of the "Details" view. I've set his Windows Explorer to always show "List" view -- but that has apparently not carried over into Master Cam. I'm a semi-computer-techie, but have not used MasterCam. I'd just like to help my machinist out. (He knows MasterCam and metalworking, I'm know computers... but, so far, not this bit!)
He has been able to set the view 'manually' to show the "List" view in the folder he is in, but when he turns the MasterCam off, it forgets his settings and this setting disappears, so when he opens it the next day, it's back to "Details" view.
Anyone know any way to change that to always default to "List" view?
