Saved up some money and would like to build a 3 axis cnc plasma cutter. I will later turn it into a 3 axis CNC mill. Material to machine will be aluminum, brass, and some mild steel. Need help deciding what kit I should buy or if it is worth the trouble piecing one together. What do I need to know about reliability, precision, and strength? Can I go with Nema 34 ac servos? Found some kits claimed to be made in Japan but selling out of hong kong on ebay for about 2000$ are these worth the money? I am going with either a Hypertherm powermax 45 or 65 depending on cost of table material and motor kit with leadscrew xy and z axes. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated. Ive read gecko drive kits are good am I wrong? Thanks.
