The Aerospace Applications Engineer is responsible for supporting the sales force, from a technical applications engineering viewpoint, with primary focus on aerospace structural components and aerospace engine component manufacturing for test cuts, machine demonstrations, and customer startup/training. Were looking for an individual to support the sales force, from a technical applications engineering viewpoint, with primary focus on aerospace structural components and aerospace engine component manufacturing for test cuts, machine demonstrations, and customer startup/training. Youll get to expand your skills in aerospace structural and engine components, demonstrate machine and test cuts and lead customer startups and training.
The special talent we want to qualify will have a Bachelors degree (preferred), or equivalent in a technical field, or five or more years related experience. The ideal candidate will have one to three (1 to 3) years aerospace structural/engine type component manufacturing experience along with one to three (1 to 3) years setup, programming and operations of multi-axis (3, 4 & 5 axis) machining centers experience. Prior experience with Makino machine operations, Pro-5 controller is strongly preferred. Equally important is the ability to interface with potential customers and present a professional image. Most important and a must, is having technical aptitude, creative problem solving and logical troubleshooting skills. Additionally, the candidate must be willing to travel for short durations approximately 25 to 40 percent of the time.
