Good afternoon Forum,
I've been building a 9x20 lathe from scratch for some time now. Actually I've built and rebuilt it for some time now to be correct. Anyway I've been trying to figure out how to power up the machine with a momentary contact button and turn it off when I hit the E-Stop. I'll probably use a relay to power on the VFD when the spindle is commanded on.
Would something like THIS work? I can live with pushing on or off.
or would THIS be a better option?
I guess I should also mention that I'm using Mach3, a C11G from CNC4PC, and gecko drives. I've wired in a 48V switching power supply and a 12/5V switching power supply as well. I'm not really concerned about the LED lighting up.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Jake
