Hi, we have a the above machine and have been having problems with the coolant foaming.
We use Exol Lubricants, Exelfluid 2161.
Product label attached...
We are located in the north of Scotland but I'm not sure if the water is hard or soft.
The coolant level is full so we are confident no air is getting into the pumps. To add, the coolant does not appear to be foaming/aerated when coming out of the jets on the main spindle or the wash down jets. It's more when the coolant is running into the swarf conveyor and on the bed itself.
It foams no matter which type of coolant you select, whether it be just the wash down or the work/job jets.
We are told by the manufacturer that they do not sell an anti-foaming additive as the coolant already includes such additives.
We purchased a cleaner which we ran through the system, followed by a flush of fresh water and then a fresh batch of new coolant. However, the problem still remains..
The coolant is at a strength of 5.5%
ANY HELP APPRECIATED!
Regards,
Paul Heyhoe.
