Can I get edit privileges for old posts ?

The reason being is that I am organising a CNC BBQ and I would like to alter the first post of the BBQ thread as details change, for instance sponsor lists and door prizes, also what is happening on the day.

For the last BBQ I had the help of a moderator who did all of this for me but it would be nice if I didn't have to bother anybody for simple updates.
