Just wondering if anybody else has noticed an unusual amount of chatter during live tooling operations with the new ST-20 lathes.
I can use the exact same program, setup, tooling, live tooling head, collet chuck, coolant, and material in my 14 year old SL-20 and get perfect results with no chatter at all.
My 4 month old ST-20 does nothing but chip out endmills.
Haas Techs have no answers except to put rubber between the Live tooling head and the Turret face. This helps a little, but seems pretty poor for a brand new machine. Probably not going to be very accurate either.
