Fusing the mains power is pretty simple... I have a 15A fuse built in to the power connector.
What other fusing do I need?
I have a 42V/10A supply and will be running (3) motors from (3) independant DIY 6064 drivers capable of 4A each.
Should I fuse each line going to a driver with say a 5A fuse? Or maybe just one 15A fuse in the primary 42V line from the power supply then running to all 3? I'm pretty sure I do NOT want to fuse between driver and the motors... there's high probability of letting out the magic smoke if a fuse does blow?
I have a grounding buss bar and will be tying all the grounds to that.
My current plan and what makes the most sense to me is to fuse each drivers power in for 5A, fuse the 120V mains power for 15A and use the grounding buss bar for all grounds, including AC and 48v Ground connections.
Any advice or warnings?
