Sorry to be the annoying noob, but I've spent most of today trying to figure this one out (anyone who is an expert in SE Wisconsin on Macturns can make extra cash here by visiting me in Eagle. Seriously. :) )
But back to my problem.
G96 does not appear to take the speed I give it. Machine is in English, 1 inch mode. Tools have been set to valid offsets.
Code basically...
M6 T020202
G50 S3000
G97 S2500 <--ramps up to 2500
G00 X.3 Z2 <-- moves to .3 in X which should be pretty fast in G96 world
G96 S200 <--spindle slows to a crawl...auuugh!
G01 X.3 Z1 F.003
As soon as the G96 hits, the machine slows down to like 200 RPM, almost like it ignored the G96...acting like a G97. What is unique in Okuma world about G96? Or do I have one the brazillian params set to something that is causing this?
Thanks again...
