Ha! I'll be the first to post here. Seems appropriate - I'm running a 1980 Hitachi Seiki 4NE-600, so I'm used to being out on a limb, on my own.
Anyone know what the X and Z backlash compensation parameters are for this machine? It's a Fanuc 6T control; my manual gives the procedure and parameters for the machine with the 5T control. I'm seeing approximately .005" worth of jump on the Z axis, which makes me think that the Z axis backlash comp is maxed out - 255 pulses x .0005mm = approximately .005"....
Any hints would be greatly appreciated.
