Need Help! Hitachi Inverter

I have a X200 Series inverter that I need help with setting up. I was using the inverter on a surface grinder and it worked fine. I was using the keypad to turn it on and off. Now I have a milling machine and want to use the inverter for that. I'm having a issue getting it to work off of the machine on off switch...Anybody have some knowledge about these units? Thanks
