Mastercam X2 MR1
I'm more familiar on the mill but have been playing around with the lathe lately.
I'm doing a counterbore in a piece of tubing with a large chamfer where it exits the bore to the front face.
The finish cut works fine, rapid into the bore to counterbore depth, feed out to the counterbore diameter, around a small radius, Z+ along the diameter, Z&X move along the chamfer and then out across the face of the part.
When roughing a part my rough toolpath work, except it takes the chamfer area as a series of straight cuts (parallel to the Z axis)
I'd like it to basically follow the exact finish profile on each cut instead.
There must be a setting somewhere that tells it to follow the profile instead of a series of ID or Face cuts?
Thanks
Mooser
