I have a Tree 325 for a couple years now and have lately had some problems. I got this from the school as they updated. It has only cut wax and was meticulously taken care of. I don't use it much, once a week, sometimes more, sometimes less. I use it mainly for practice to help me complete a engineering degree. I noticed it was getting out of position in the Y. I adjusted a little with the balance and could reset it and overcome the issue. But then I noticed that the travel was not smooth in the Y.. I thought it may be cold, I cleaned it up really well and made sure it is getting lubed, and cant find anything obvious. It would be running, then stick out of position, and then it snapped the belt. I replaced it, and set up a cycle that jogs it around the limits for 30min or so and then it seemed to work fine. But then today it was running choppy again, and snapped the belt. I manually turn the lead screw and don't think its too difficult and don't feel anywhere it sticks. I called dynapath and they said it possibly needs to be adjusted. Is it possibly a Gibbs issue where they are too tight? If so ,any advice on making this adjustment? I have a program manual but nothing on how to dismantle the table. I slid the protector plates and look behind the bed and can see the lead screw and it looks clean and nothing seems out of place. I have dismantled the front part of the Y and it seemed good as well. The only thing I don't really see is the section just inside where the half nut contacts the lead screw and oil line connects. Any tips will be greatly appreciated!(nuts)(nuts)::confused:
