What would cause my machine torch not to fire on the second cut until the post flow cooling air stopped? I cut out some artwork today and it took me quite a while to do because of this problem. The cuts were beautiful, almost like a laser cut, but after the machine finished a cutout, stopped, and traversed to the next cutout the torch would just spark and that's it when it went to the sheet to cut. I would have to wait till the cooling post flow air would stop before the torch would fire normally. I've never encountered this problem before so I am asking you guys (and Jim Colt if hes hanging out around here) that have had this problem for some trouble shooting advice. My air is clean and dry. I have a 25cfm desiccant dryer on the air inlet of my 1650 with a MotorGuard and RTI dryer at the wall.
I was cutting 18 ga. steel @ 79 volts with the air pressure set in the center of the indicator on the front panel of the 1650 using a FineCut tip, and regular 120925 swirl ring.
Thanks,
Mike S.
