Hi there!
I'm new to this forum but hoping someone could help me or give some information:
In my shop in germany i have an BMC40 machining Center with Ultimax2 Control.
I would like to replace the rotary encoders against linear scales to get higher precision out of the machine;
A old hurco guy told me it was possible because the machine was also optional available with linear scales, but he retired from his job and at hurco germany they cannot tell may anything about the old machines (or possibly dont want to...:devious:)
The original rotary encoders are 2500 counts per revolution and the ballscrew are 10mm pitch.
Has anyone informations, what type of linear scale could be used for this conversion?
greetings, Andy
