Hello, can any body assist. I have a Gravograph engraver with a Floating Head and a Metal Depth Nose (Swival Ball) on the end.
I engrave alot of Cast Polyester and find that the Swival Ball gets clogged up and jams up (stops swiveling) in about 30 minutes.
The Depth Nose is worn out and needs replacing in a few days. It seems the cuttings get imbedded between the ball and the seat quite quickly.
I have I would consider above average dust extraction.
Has anyone had any experience with this problem and how to solve it?
As I see it the options are:-
Super high suction dust extraction
A compressed air blast from underneath after each job
Reduce up and down stokes... This is difficult
Slow lift and lower speed of engraving spindle
Change to Plastic Depth Nose
Any advice and others experience would be greatly appreciated as this is getting really frustrating.
thanks
