I need some options for how to coat some parts I've been making. I need a clear coating that will be resistant to light scratches and stuff like that. The parts are mostly cosmetic and because of that I want to protect the brushed look.
I've tried automotive clear coat from just a rattle can but it doesn't stick due to no primer underneath. I also tried clear powder coat but had a few issues with it where it would leave bubbles and pockets in the coating and wouldn't come out with that clear finish I wanted. I'm still talking to the company so we'll see if I can make that work.
Is there anything else in the mean time I can try?
