I would like to increase the Y axis travel to 6" or so, instead of 4 1/4" that I have now. Can you put a spacer between the end plate and the table to get more Y movement towards the column? It looks like the ball screw is long enough to travel more than it does. As it is now, when I move the table to the column, the ball screw feeds up to the column and stops. I tried to wind the ball screw out by putting a 1" spacer between the table and the end plate that holds the end of the ball screw, but the table still stopped in about the same location as before, even though the end of the ball screw was 1" away from the column. It is as it the table is being stopped by something that I can't see, and keeping it from going more. Any ideas will be appreciated.
