Assistance Connecting USB Stepper Board Wiring

I apologize if this is a re-post, however it's not showing up for some reason.

I purchased a USB CNC board, and am having issues getting it to drive my steppers correctly.
Here is exactly what I've done to try and get it to work so far:

1) I purchased a USB CNC board off of AliExpress.
4 Axis USB CNC Controller Interface Board CNCUSB MK1 USBCNC 2.1 Substitute MACH3-in Motor Driver from Industry & Business on Aliexpress.com

I installed the software and connected a 4-wire 3.1VDC stepper motor to the X-Axis connectors from the board. The stepper motor had a black wire, a grey wire, a red wire, and a yellow wire, while the USB CNC board listed ports for the X-Axis as: |CP|CW|-|+5| I connected the Black wire to |CP|, the Grey wire to |CW|, the Red wire to |-|, and the Yellow wire to |+5|. I then ran some sample GCode that came with the software for the board, however since the board is only powered through the USB connection, the stepper wouldn't turn at all. I did hear it squealing with a high-pitched noise at certain times though, so I know signals were being sent to the stepper motor. Because of this, I thought to myself, "Well gee, everything seems to be connected, but it just needs more power. I've got to give it more juice somehow!"

2) So... I purchased 3x of the "A931A CNC Router Single Axis 3.5A TB6560 Stepper Stepping Motor Driver"

Right now I'm just working with one of the boards, and I'm powering it with +24volts @ 2.5A. Here is the manual for it: http://www.machsupport.com/forum/ind...0;attach=29877

What I assumed was that this guy was just going to take the low voltage signals from the USB board and bump them up. What I didn't realize was that on one side of the board it would have the typical |B-|B+|A-|A+| wiring notations, while on the other side it would have |+V|Pul-|Dir-|EN-|. I'm not certain how these are used, so I just guessed, and ran a wire from |+V| to |CP|. I ran a second wire from |Pul-| to |CW|. I ran a third wire from |Dir-| to |-|. And then last, I ran a wire from |EN-| to |+5|.

This time, when I ran the sample GCode, I was using a 12volt motor, and now it was spinning at certain times when the GCode ran. I then stopped it, and tried jogging the X-Axis manually to confirm it working properly, however it wouldn't move. It did work however when I tried to jog in the +X/-Y and -X/+Y positions (Upper-Left and Lower-Right). Very odd. I also noticed that that the motor was getting SUPER hot.

Any suggestions on how I correct this setup? My bottom line is that I just want a functional USB CNC driver. Previously, I had my mill working with Mach 3 and a printer port connection, however the computer that I was using was old and archaic, and took up much too much space in my office, and that's why I switched. The computer has already been disposed of, so now there's no going back. :)

So, there you go. If you can spot how I can get this guy wired up correctly (even if it means spending $20 bucks), I'm willing to do that. I just want it RUNNING!
