Another newbie starting up

So I'm new to CNC and machining in general (the very basic courses back in design school down really count) but I run solidworks all day at my job and am excited to get into cutting metal for my own projects. The basic courses might not count but I still really liked it when I was doing it :p

so quick questions to start off, I have a KBC tools warehouse near me but I was curious where else you guys buy tools and tooling? Also anyone in the lower mainland have places to buy stock material from? Thanks :)
