Opinion on offset Z and LMS air spring

Given the LMS solid column X2 mill, The cnc fusion ball screw kit employs an offset for the Z axis. Conceptually that is not optimal. Then again it matters more the less the head is supported.

So here is the question, if using the offset Z axis kit and then adding in the LMS spring, is that enough to render inconsequential the limitations that exist on paper for an offset Z axis ball screw design or should one look to a different design for the z axis?
