I have some questions about ONECNC XR5.
1) is onecnc able to pocket mill with true single and multiple island detection? (I've never seen a video of them doing a demo of this)
2) can you start machining above the part zero plane? (for example: if .020 of stock was left on prior to machining)
3) can you select a single line or arc segment and have onecnc mill from end to end in a downward z zigzag/spiral incremental fashion of lets say .005 step down? (useful for mold runners)
4) can it do 3D or 2.5 milling using a flat bottom and/or a bull nosed end mill?
5) can the lead in and lead out location of a contour or pocket operation be user specified?
6) face mill part with island detection?
7) can you move any object on the screen to a different layer?
8) can you edit multiple operations at the same time?
9) will 3d milling recognize steep walls and is there a way to allow for incremental depth of cut at these steep walls only? (useful if your end mill does not have enough flute length and needed relieved for longer length of cut)
10) can you group all or select all similar objects such as toolpaths, points, lines, arcs, or even different colors?
11) can you save simulated stock model as a .stl or other solid and re-import back into onecnc and select it as your new stock?
12) view and compare simulated cut part with the actual part geometry and/or part solid?
13) can you import any solid model and set it as stock to be machined from?
14) can you taper cut walls during pocket and/or contour/profile operations?
15) is onecnc able to determine toolpaths based on stock/actual model comparison?
16) can the user select a process order to mill width first and then depth or depth then width?
17) can you display federate, coolant, dia. comp., length comp., spindle direction, operation comment, etc. during simulation?
18) can the user modify the post to output code as needed/required?
