CODE, help understanding the structure

I am new to the FANUC control, I was wondering if anyone could explain to me when I send a program to the control by RS232 the control splits the program in two separate programs with one part of code line in each?

What are the syntax rules and program structure I was writing a simple program on word pad in the shop just to check some issues we are having with the machine.
