Hi Guys,
I have this error.
If I try to orient the spindle, by M6 tool change, or in MDI and use M190 then I get this error:
9081 SPN 1 :S-SPINDLE ERROR (AL-081)
It also errors if I try to rigid tap as the spindle obviously tries to orient first.
The error cannot be canceled and I have to restart the machine. Major PITA and it's seriously affecting myproduction!!
So far I've had a couple of people look at it, but to no avail.
I'm in Thailand. Good CNC technicians here are few and far between, and also horrendously expensive, so if there's some way I can be guided to fix this myself I'd be over the moon.
The problem started a while back on the low range spindle speeds, but high speed was ok. Therefore, as a short term solution I modified my Gcode for an M42 before each tool change, so that it would select high range before orienting and changing the tool. This worked fine, but now the high speed range has started to throw up the same error.
I'm not gonna guess at what the problem is, but with this FADAL I've had some issues with the wiring and/or connectors which I've replaced and those issues went away.
Just wondering if there's some simple fix for this that I'm not seeing.
Anyone else had this problem? I'd definitely buy the guy who could fix this more than a couple of beers!
Looking forward to any suggestions.
Matt.
PS, also posted this in the FADAL section just in case anyone there can help.
