Got a 2007 Alex-Tech Viper 3000 machine.
The spindle brake is acting up, and do not clamp as hard as I like it to.
As in, when I tighten tha jaws in the chuck the spindle brake cant hold the spindle still.
And when I use a 12mm end mill in a 40mm bar to mill for a 12x40mm key the spindle rotates slightly, and the part is crap.
Have tried adjusting the pressure up, but did no good.
Also I have had the two brake callpiers apart, cleand them througoutly and reassembled them.
Still the same problem.
Any advice out there?
Is there several Methods for clamping the spindle on theese machines?
Controller is Fanuc 18i-TB
