Greetings, I have a new Tormach, and thankfully have had lots of free time recently so I have been able to spend a lot of time getting familiar with the Sprutcam 8. However, I cannot figure out how to use a large diameter (3 inch or so) slitting saw type tool to machine "underneath" larger diameter portions of a part. Think of a chess pawn or similar with ridges and undercuts.
I want to essentially use waterline roughing but rather than moving horizontally with an endmill, I want to move vertically with the slitting saw.
The only operations that allow the use of the undercut mill tool are 2D and 3D contouring, and I can't get either to do what I want.
Does anyone have an example of this kind of vertical movement with an undercut mill tool, or is it simply not possible in Sprutcam?
Thanks
John
