mach conversion ao a machining centre ?

has any one converted a vertical machining centre to mach ? , i have done an XYZ knee mill myself but have a BMC 25 that im considering converting , obviously theres a lot more with the tool changer etc , but I would be interested in any threads on any similar conversions
