Need your help with LaserCut 5.3 install with ColeTech 1612 laser cutter

Ok, Really long story short.

Bought a new large laser cutter from ColeTech in China and it has arrived and is installed.

Has a MCP6565 controller.

I have been trying to get LaserCut 5.3 to load and work correctly for weeks and have tried working wth ColeTech quite a bit but I'm pretty sure that isn't a path to success.

I have installed LaserCut in a XP machine (I've actually done that with more than one to confirm it wasn't the machine)

I CAN control the laser and cut - I CANNOT seem to get the syscfg.ini to load - so machine parameters are always wrong.
It acts like it will load the syscfg and shows a loading progress but that flashes up really quick and then I get the controller beep - seems like a load but then I look at the machine settings and they have not changed.

ColeTech sent me a new controller and that is doing tha same thing...

I'm running in standalone - without autocad or Corel.
2 questions:
If you go to the device manager and look at the driver for a MCP6565 what should that driver be named?
When setting power I have a potentiometer and the software for a 150W tube what should be the max smart/safe tube current.

Does anyone out there onw a 1612?
