New Machine Build Choosing the steppers

I were searching for steppers to build my first cnc machine, the first i found were the nema17, but as i read, nema17 is not strong enough to work with metal, so searching more, i found a nema23 428oz-in, i want to know what do you think about this motor and the drivers, would it be enough to work with aluminium?
