I have the 620-5 CandCNC electronics on order, not yet delivered, and will order a gantry from Precision Plasma after bench testing the electronics equipment. Since I have never worked with a CNC table, I'm interested to hear what factors I should be considering when setting the table height for my build. The table I plan to build is 4x8, for use with a Hypertherm Powermax 65, will cut mostly gauge metal with an occasional build using plate. I expect the metal types to be mostly medium carbon steel, with occasional stainless and aluminum projects.
This is in my garage and I don't have a forklift so hand loading, even for the heavier materials, is required.
For those of you that have experience and can share your thoughts, I'd greatly appreciate hearing your insight.
