new to cnc

Hello, I'm a student at Akron CNC and just starting out. I've got strong automotive skills and fell into CNC after talking with a buddy of mine. Currently I'm on my 5th week of learning mills. We use a newer doosen and an old hitachi. Curious on what advise you might give. So far I've learned the general G codes, set up, cutview, and blueprint reading. Seems like a pretty good field to get in and seems to be in demand. Any help or advise helps.
