Hello
I am having problems getting Mach 3 to "communicate" with my stepper motor controller.
I have a wired up Gecko G540 driver with four nema 23 stepper motors.
When under power I show a green led and the motors have holding torque like Gecko says they should. However Mach 3 will not move the motors and when I hit the e stop, Mach 3 doesn't blow up. Leaving me to assume they are not communicating. Gecko has an initial set up guide for the g540. In which you are told to enter the BIOS of the PC and put the parallel port on EPP1.7 ;along with a Mach 3 configuration file you load into Mach 3. Which enters all of the ports and pin setting into Mach for you.
My question is "what am I missing in the setup of my Gecko drive??"
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks
