UCT is looking for a self-motivated Maintenance Technician at its South San Francisco location to diagnose and repair manual and CNC equipment. This individual should be able to read complex electromechanical diagrams, drawings and schematics. Required Education and Experience:
High School Diploma/equivalent.
Associated degree preferred, but not required.
Trade school with Maintenance work, Electronic school.
3+ years related solid metal fabrication/manufacturing environment with demonstrated technical knowledge of CNC machines, robot equipment, CMM machines, and other electrical/mechanical equipment.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong background of mechanical and electrical experience.
Able to trouble shoot and diagnose issues with machinery and be able to do necessary repairs.
Must be able to read electrical schematics and ladder diagrams for the machines.
Need to be able to work on numerous types of Fanuc controls and Okuma OSP controls.
Ability to work on numerous brands of CNC equipment such as (Mori Seiki, Okuma, Quantum, Mitsubishi, and OKK machines is a must.
Need to be able to work on numerous brands of Manual equipment.
Attention to safety, quality and detail is a must.
Ability to work over-time and weekends.
Must have good English communication skills, both verbal and written.
Good math abilities required.
