Need Help! Advice for a soon-to-be 1100 owner?

So the truck is supposed to deliver me a shiny new PCNC 1100 this Wednesday, and I'm getting ready to get it set up and running. I've read the manuals and watched Youtube videos, and am looking for any other pro tips from those who've been through this before.

I have the lifting kit, a pallet jack, and soon a Horror Fright 2-ton engine hoist for getting the machine and stand in position. From what I've seen, I gather that the stand (I got the deluxe one) will need to be boosted on some 4x4s in order to get the hoist underneath it. So I'll need to pick up a floor jack, too. Anything else I need for this that they don't tell you in the manual? I made the mistake of buying a one-ton hoist before realizing that it's only rated for 1200 pounds at lower heights and that won't be enough. The 2-ton model says it's good for 1 ton at 95" so I think that's enough?

Do I need to get my own 220V plug, or does it come with one? The manual/specs were a little unclear on that.

In terms of shimming the base (i.e. between the machine and the stand), how necessary is that? If the answer is "definitely," what do people use for shims? I don't have any shim stock around and not sure what kind/thickness/etc. would be useful. Tin foil? Cut up soda cans? .001" brass sheets that cost $40 each?

Anything else I should know about?

FYI I've got previous experience building DIY conversions of multiple mills, lathe, etc. so I have a fair idea of what to do once it's plugged in and ready to run. But this is the largest/most $ machine I've set up, so want to make sure I do it right!
