Sieg KX1 Z axis jams when spindle is spinning

Hello All,
I own the Sieg KX1 and have been having problem where a rapid Z movement upwards would cause the head to temporarily jam. This only seems to happen when the spindle is spinning at a high speed (5000rpm +). I have a video of what I am talking about here:

At first I thought the acceleration of the z motor was too high so I lowered it. That didn't seem to help.

Then I started adjusting the Z gib adjustment screws and that caused the problem to seem to go away at lower spindle speeds but still remained at higher speeds when traveling larger distancing in the Z+ direction.

At this point I've moved the gib around. Loosened the four large screws you can see in the picture and ran the head up and down which caused the problem to get really bad.

I have a couple questions.

1) Is the problem from the video related to adjusting the head (i.e. z gib adjustment screws)?

2) How I adjust the head? I do not know how to loosen the set screws as they don't have a head. They are hollow and threaded on the inside - so im not sure if im supposed to adjust these.

3) What is that little nipple thing with the brass ring. I can press it in a little. It looks like something I should stick oil in?? how??

Thanks for any advice - I'm a noob
