Pleased to announce that we are releasing a new feature for our Kipware® CNC XChange - Fanuc <--> Okuma Conversion Software.
In addition to the current conversion options ... we have added a Fanuc to Okuma (4) axis option for double turret lathes. In addition to performing all the standard turning G code conversions ... CNC XChange can now take a (4) axis G code turning program created in Fanuc format ( using M waiting code style ) and auto-convert it to Okuma OSP format utilizing the OSP "P" code format. All the "P" code formatting is completed all automatically and in the end ... all (4) files are displayed in a separate, side-by-side window in the CNC XChange Editor. Selecting the "Merge Converted File" option will cause the software to merge the (2) converted files into one Okuma formatted file for delivery to the machine.
The (4) axis option currently converts Fanuc to Okuma ... by the end of June we will be UPDATING that to also convert Okuma OSP format to Fanuc format.
