I'm doing my first cnc router build, and need some advice on choosing a dependable, but inexpensive controller.
I have some surplus StepSyn nema 23 motors - 1.1 amp, 3.5 ohm per phase, uni-polar.
The plan is to build a small cnc/dremel for pcb prototyping - 12" x 12" work surface.
I have everything that I need to build it, but the controller (PC, software, linear slides, lead screws, dremel, etc.)
Relays are not needed - just a simple and dependable 3 axis parallel port controller.
I've looked into stepper world, hobbycnc, gekko, as well as browsing eBay (to good to be true prices?)
Kits are OK too!
Any suggestions??? Thank you!
