Im wiring up my new G540. I had to replace one of my steppers a while back and with my permission the supplier substituted a different motor. Its a 3 amp per phase motor. i put a 3k ohm resistor on the DB9 connector and it runs like a race horse. Went to wire the next axis, which is a KL23H286 -20-8b motor eired Bipolar series. the spec sheet says I am at 1.4 amps per phase. I don't have a 1.4 k resistor so i installed a 1.2k in its place. The motor wont turn and its not locking up hard. Any guesses as to what I can do. The next size resistor I have is 1.8k.
