Machining advice needed

Hi,
I need some advice as to how to machine the transition area of a round object into a square with a standard 3 Axis machine. I have attached a couple pics of what I mean. I want to make a nice clean transition between the round handle and the sword hilt.

The material I am cutting is REN Shape.
