Hello All,
I have recently be come obsessed with CNCs and would like to make/buy my own. I dont have much space so my first will be relatively small, with a working area of about 12" by 18". I will use it to cut wood (up to 3/4" thick) and maybe small circuit boards.
I like the look of the Contraptor:
Mini CNC - Contraptor
but I want to scale it up a little. I also am intrigued by the idea of drawer slides for the x and y axis, as I have seen a few different builds that use them.
I planned on using an arduino and a few easy drivers with stepper motors for the electronics, and then linuxcnc for the software.
Can anyone recommend any projects/plans/advice for this type of build? Most of the ones I see in this forum are for larger tables.
Thanks!
