Other thread I posted this problem on: http://www.cnczone.com/forums/gecko_...ml#post1276706
I posted the full details of the problem I'm having in the thread above, but I wonder if this is more of a electronics question than it is a Gecko G540 issue, since my G540 works just fine when bench testing.
Super quick summary: If my PCI parallel port is providing 3.3v on pin #17 when I click the toggle in Mach3, but the available amps seem to be so low that it can barely light up an LED (and therefore the G540 doesn't even register it doing anything), what do I do?
External power supply: confirmed +3.3v -> wired directly to G540, relay kicks over. Wired to LED: brightly lit.
Parallel cable: confirmed +3.3v -> wired directly to G540, nothing happens. Wired to LED: very very very faint glow.
Ideas?
