Problem Z Axis not moving

Hello, I have a problem perhaps some of you can help with.
I have Mach 3 and use it on my router.

A friend of mine has Mach 3 but has not used it.
He asked me to get his machine going with Mach 3.
I worked through the configuration, everything went well with the X & Y.

There was a problem with the Z. It would not move.
You could see the figures change on the DRO but there was no physical movement of the axis.

It is not a cable problem as the machine moves with the other operating system.
It looks as if the Z axis is disabled.
Is there setting or a parameter that needs changing.

The only other thing it might be is a pin setting.
Any ideas or advise ?
