I have a Chinese 120w 800w spindle with a 1.5kw 120v VFD.
I was testing cutting in aluminum and stalled as the bit pulled the machine down. I shut everything down but noticed spindle sounds like it was spinning internally as it slowed down but not the bit. I've now just tested holding on to the chuck during start up and notice it slips a little bit internally but seems like that maybe be the way it is made. It seems to provide a bit of torque while trying to spinup. Anyone happen to know if that is how they are designed or was something damaged?
