Want to post to a 5-axis mill using MC Multiaxis Router, possible?

I have MCX-6 for router set for 4-axis. It is a relatively inexpensive upgrade to Multiaxis w/ Solids vs buying a whole new multiaxis mill seat. If I have the 5-axis mill post (in this case a Hurco VMX42SR) can I modify it to work for 5-axis router software? and is it something I can easily do myself?
